I love to teach what I have experienced. And my failures help me mentor many to succeed. I have been busy with the world of affiliate marketing and have tried to be quiet about it.
This question began after I failed to grow my blog urcm.blogspot.com which by the way I stated since 2008.
I was writing on faithwriters.com and my friends began advising me to start a blog. I was young and wanted to just play through as always so I had two blogs one on wordpress.com and the other on blogger.com by google.com.
I had comments and likes them I heard of Google Adsense, I quickly signed up, connected my blog no stress, then decided to abandon the whole blog idea because I found my next love... Programming with VB 5, I didn't see how I can write about my new found love so I just kept going, then moved to Web programming with #javascript, then moved to #php, then moved to #MySQL, then fell out of the whole raider for 10 long years only to look at the guys who blogged news making good cash and having serious traffic on their sites.
Now android apps use Java, C#, C++ Php, every server-side scripting language now became a hot cake.
I was 10 years in the zoo of things... My web design skills suck, my knowledge of WordPress was outdated, I had to clean up my slate and bounce back... But as my saying goes, now that I have decided to play the game the rules of the game has changed, and the players have all evolved into hybrids.
So yes! There was almost no room for me, or so I thought to unroll I discovered that within this vast expanse of the universe, there are people who need what I knew from the past, so I decided to look for ways of helping them succeed where I failed.
I started sending Emails, filling forms, waiting for approvals, days become months and still, I didn't have any response good or bad. Then last week the answers began to pour in... REJECTION. My blog https://po2kitchenandbrand.blogspot.com doesn't have what it took to be on their affiliate list...
In 2008, the approval would have been instantaneous. Now the rules have truly changed.
I got about 6 rejection and finally, on Sunday, I got an email, asking me to schedule a call with a company for partnership. My blog only has a total of 1700 views and they want to talk for 30 mins?
My African fear almost made me gave up the idea. But I finally agreed, yesterday by 6:30 pm I was called and quite to my surprise, the call was favourable. I am not just an affiliate, I'm a PARTNER. What did I do?
I'll be sharing that detail as we keep progressing...
Don't forget to follow me.
